Meet Dr. Brewer
Paul Brewer, OD is a neuro-optometrist, researcher, and teacher focused on neuro-visual rehab and sports performance. He founded and runs Diverge Performance & Vision Therapy, linking neuroscience with athletic training and bringing together medical and coaching teams.
He holds an OD from the Southern California College of Optometry and has 10+ years’ experience. His work covers concussion care, vision testing, sports vision training, and visual-vestibular integration. As an assistant professor at the Carrick Institute, he treats patients and trains professionals worldwide.
At home, his family life shapes his practice: his older daughter is a multisport athlete and his younger daughter is autistic, guiding his push for inclusive, personalized care. Raised in Hawaii, Paul is an outdoor and multisport athlete, which informs his understanding of competitive demands.
He serves on the executive board of the International Sports Vision Association, publishes research on topics like concussion effects on balance, and speaks internationally. Combining his clinical skills, sports background, and family values, he helps people of all abilities reach better performance.
Meet Dr. Kat
Dr. Katherine “Kat” Stock is a chiropractor and integrative wellness professional dedicated to helping individuals and families move beyond symptom management toward lasting, whole-person health. She combines clinical rigor with compassionate care, empowering patients to better understand their health, make informed decisions, and actively participate in their recovery.
Raised in Modesto, California, Dr. Kat earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Before entering healthcare, she spent 17 years working in Human Resources, where she developed a deep understanding of people, communication, workplace wellness, and the challenges individuals face while balancing their health, families, and professional responsibilities.
Her path changed after witnessing a remarkable chiropractic recovery within her own family. When chiropractic care made a meaningful difference in the life of her son, Nolan, Dr. Kat felt called to leave the corporate world and pursue a career devoted to helping others experience greater health and freedom. She went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Kat is also a Licensed Clinical Nutritionist and an ND Candidate pursuing Naturopathic Doctor licensure. Her additional training includes Functional Neurology, Infusion Therapy, and Phlebotomy. This diverse clinical background allows her to take an integrative approach that considers the relationships among neurological function, nutrition, movement, lifestyle, and overall well-being.
Dr. Kat provides personalized, evidence-informed care designed to address each patient’s individual needs and goals. She believes patients deserve clear explanations of their options, including potential benefits, risks, and alternatives, so they can make confident and informed decisions about their care.
Dr. Kat’s work is grounded in loving service, encouraging communication, personal accountability, and the belief that every individual has inherent value and is profoundly loved by their Creator. Her goal is not only to help patients feel better, but also to equip them with the knowledge, support, and practical tools needed to build durable wellness and live more vibrant, balanced lives.
Diverge STory
Diverge Performance and Vision Therapy is a groundbreaking system dedicated to enhancing human potential through the integration of neuroscience, biomechanics, and advanced visual rehabilitation techniques. It also reflects the ability to "see the big picture," emphasizing a holistic approach to human health and performance.
At Diverge, we combine cutting-edge performance training with specialized vision therapy to address a wide range of needs, including:
Sports Performance: Sharpen reaction times, improve coordination, and maximize athletic potential.

Functional Vision: Enhance eye alignment, tracking, and visual processing for improved daily function.
Integrated Health: Synchronize the visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive systems for better balance and overall well-being.
Our logo, featuring three interconnected spheres—input, processing, and output—symbolizes the synergy of psychomotor performance and visual integration. This reflects our comprehensive approach to addressing the root causes of performance challenges and unlocking potential.
